As well as being known as an incredibly talented songwriter, Grammy-award winning star and one-half of the industry's most talked about new couples, Taylor Swift is famous for something else - her devotion to her fans.
So it may come as no surprise to learn that the 25-year-old performer has been lauded following a heartfelt gesture she made towards one of her many loyal followers.
Creating a touching video in honour of their brave 11-year-old daughter Naomi, who was recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia, the Oakes family explained their daughter's story and desperately hoped their efforts would be seen by their little girl's idol.
And, thankfully, by the power of social media, it was!
Upon learning that Naomi was unable to attend a recent concert as she was undergoing treatment, the star, whose mother is currently battling cancer as well, immediately set about returning a smile to Naomi's face.
Pledging a whopping $50,000 to Naomi's GoFundMe account established by the family in order to cover the child's six to nine month stay in hospital, Taylor wrote: "To the beautiful and brave Naomi, I'm sorry you have to miss it, but there will always be more concerts. Let's focus on getting you feeling better. I'm sending the biggest hugs to you and your family."
