In a not-so surprising turn of events, Amal and George Clooney's newborn twins have been described as "stunningly beautiful."

I mean, with genes like that, we expected nothing else.

Amal's mother, Baria Alamuddin, said that her daughter, and handsome son-in-law, created "stunningly beautiful babies."

The couple, who got married in Italy back in 2014, welcomed their babies, Alexander and Ella, into the world last week, and their grandmother has been gushing over the arrival.

Speaking to People, the twins' proud grandmother revealed the first moment she laid eyes on the little ones.

"And seeing the joy on Amal and George’s faces, it’s one of those deeply felt beautiful feelings you can’t express in words," said the doting grandmother.

A few hours after the arrival of the gorgeous babies, a spokesperson for the Clooneys released a statement:

"This morning Amal and George welcomed Ella and Alexander Clooney into their lives," the representative told Page Six.

The spokesperson then jokingly added of the first-time father, "George is sedated and should recover in a few days."

We are seriously excited to see these lovely bubs! Congrats to the happy parents.
