They have both come under intense scrutiny since their baby news was confirmed last summer, and it looks as though all eyes have turned to One Direction star Louis Tomlinson and ex-girlfriend Briana Jungwirth once more.

According to a report by entertainment website TMZ today, singer Louis is heading to court seeking joint custody of the couple’s five-month-old son, Freddie.

Apparently, the 24-year-old Little Things hit-maker has had enough of ‘inconsistent’ access to his son and wants the tot to split his time half-and-half between his parents.

Louis is reportedly set to head to court to demand joint custody, so that he can play a bigger role in little Freddie’s upbringing.

Louis and Briana have found themselves at the centre of controversy since May 2015, when their pregnancy news first broke.

Briana, in particular, has endured shocking trolling from One Direction fans, and even recently said that the past year has been ‘the best and worst’ of her life.

You've changed my life for the better. I love you with my whole heart.

While the stylist was overjoyed to welcome her precious son in January, it seems media scrutiny and online abuse have marred the experience to an extent.

“I was scrutinised and harassed by thousands – which even included major media outlets whom all seemed to believe he [Freddie] wasn’t real. I am beyond disgusted by it all,” she wrote in a recent Instagram post.

Let’s hope that the pair can keep things amicable, for the family’s sake.
