There was only one thing preoccupying Amber Bowers' mind on the day of her college graduation.

No, she wasn’t wondering if she’d get a job, nor was she fretting about tripping up the steps as she collected her diploma.

What she was worried about was something very practical: would she be able to breastfeed her baby girl during the ceremony?

The mum-of-three, who is now a qualified massage therapist, was prepared to skip the important step if she couldn’t nurse little Luna, but fortunately that wasn’t necessary.

After getting permission from the college to bring her tot on the big day, Amber didn’t think twice about breastfeeding Luna when she got hungry mid-ceremony.

And a stranger caught the beautiful moment on camera. Since it was shared on Breastfeeding Mama Talk, the image has gone viral.

Understandably, it has struck a chord with mums around the world, as has Amber’s message that went with it.

“I didn’t feel like I was doing anything out of the norm, but as I was walking around backstage before the ceremony I started to get compliments as well as eye rolls from people who saw me nursing Luna,” she wrote.

“Right before I was heading to the main floor, a few women were gushing over the sight of me nursing her and snapped a photo of me. I didn’t really think anything of it and just enjoyed Luna’s snuggles as I watched the ceremony begin.”

What a fab reminder that you can have it all – but it might take a bit more juggling!
