It seems fans can’t get enough of Cheryl and Liam at the moment, almost two months after they welcomed their first child into the world – and many believe that fans have another reason to be excited right now.
Social media has gone into overdrive this evening, with reports rife that Liam and Cheryl are actually MARRIED!
Unlike other stories, these rumours actually started from Liam’s own mouth, after he referred to Cheryl as his ‘wife’ earlier today.
The 23-year-old was doing a live interview with SiriusXM, to promote his new single, when he let the word slip out!
Liam was talking about gorging on burgers after a photo shoot, when the SiriusXM hosts jokingly asked him if the only reason he moved out to Los Angeles, was so he could visit the famous In ‘N’ Out burger chain whenever he desires.
The new father joked as he replied: “Yeah, exactly! I left my wife and child at home, and I was just straight out to In ‘N’ Out Burger!”
An innocent mistake it may be, but eagle-eyed fans were quick to jump to conclusions over Liam’s turn of phrase – and now everyone reckons that Liam and Cheryl may have tied the knot in secret.
If the rumours are true, it will be a case of third time lucky for Cheryl, who was previously married to British footballer Ashley Cole, and French restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernandez Versini.
The latest reports come just hours after the full name of the couple’s newborn son was revealed as Bear Grey Payne. A One Direction fan, simply known as Jackie, took to Twitter to share the news, after meeting Liam during a meet-and-greet in Boston.
The name has, of course, been met with mixed reaction online – but, as we always say, each to their own!
Whether these marriage reports are true or not, we are wishing Cheryl and Liam all the happiness in the world – both with their relationship and parenthood.
