Once the Michigan family’s baby news went public, anxious talk turned towards baby number 13, with many counting on the latest addition to the Schwandt clan being a little girl, at long last.
In news shared from dad Jay’s Facebook account earlier today however, it has been revealed that mum Kateri gave birth to baby number 13 in the early hours of this morning – and it’s another boy!
An overwhelmed Jay wrote on the social media website: “Ok, so the boys know now! Good Morning America will air the ‘exclusive’ reveal tomorrow morning so we had to be careful with some of it, but…It’s a BOY! Now we need to choose a name! BLESSED beyond belief!”
The newest addition to the Schwandt family was born at 9:06am, weighing in at eight pounds and 15 ounces. The little one was originally due to arrive on Saturday.
Despite the intense media scrutiny, the Schwandts stuck by their tradition of waiting until the birth to find out their baby’s sex.
