Pink has posted a wonderfully inspiring Instagram post for all the new mums out there who are struggling with body image.

The famous singer gave birth three months ago to her second child, the gorgeous little Jameson Moon Hart.

The 37-year-old took to social media to share a picture of herself after working out in the gym, with an important message for mums.

"Would you believe I'm 160 pounds and 5'3"? By 'regular standards' that makes me obese. I know I'm not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby 2 but dammit I don't feel obese. The only thing I'm feeling is myself. Stay off that scale!"

Hundreds of Pink's fans were shocked that the fit singer would be considered to be "obese."

One fan wrote “It’s great to hear a celebrity speak about something I struggle with everyday” while another commented “‘Obese’ is not the word that comes to mind. Gorgeous? Strong? Yes. Those words.”

Another inspired fan wrote, "Wish I felt as good as you. After four kiddos I'm proud and happy of myself, but wish I had a body like u still! Not unhappy with myself but wish I had a better body! Nice to know you are not perfect!"

A number of mums also thanked the singer for shining a light on what postpartum bodies are really like:

“Thank you for being REAL about what we go through postpartum. It isn’t easy. And with the unrealistic two weeks after societal pics it doesn’t make it any easier. But you did it before and you will do it again. One step at a time,” wrote one admirer of Pink's honesty.

Back in February the singer posted a picture of herself alongside her personal trainer saying she was six weeks postpartum and had not lost any weight.

We are loving Pink's honest and amazing take on motherhood!
