Police in England have appealed to the public for any information on the whereabouts of a young mum and her infant son, who have not been seen for four days.

Sophia Thrusfield, 17, was last seen in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent last Saturday, where she paid a visit to family with her six-month-old son, Isaac.

The mother and son were reportedly last seen on March 26 at around 6:45pm, but they have failed to return to their home in Wednesbury, West Midlands since.

Police are now asking for help in tracing Sophia and Issac, with a spokesperson issuing a statement appealing for information.

“Officers have checked specific addresses which Sophia has links to, and they are following other lines of enquiry. Sophia has links in the Bolton and Birmingham areas, and we’re keen to hear from anyone who has had contact with her since the weekend,” they said.

Sophia is described as being white, 5ft 7in in height, of medium build and with long black hair with auburn coming through. She has blue eyes and a pale complexion, and when last seen she was wearing a black tracksuit, a black vest top, and black and red Nike trainers.
