Police have released CCTV images of a man they want to speak with in relation to the sexual assault of a 13-year-old boy in the London Underground in October.

The victim was in Southgate Underground Station in North London with his family when the incident occurred, at around 7pm on Wednesday, October 29th.

According to a police statement, a man approached the young boy and “touched him inappropriately”.

The boy immediately told his mother, but the man had already left the station.

Now, police have released CCTV images of a man dressed in black, and are appealing for help with their inquiries.

Detective Constable Gareth Jones said: “We will not tolerate any such behaviour on the rail network and need to find the person responsible for this assault.”

“I believe the man in the images we are issuing today can help with our investigation,” he added.

Police have urged anyone with information to contact them on 0800 40 50 40, or at Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
