While some stars are more than happy to document their pregnancy journey online, others are a little more reluctant when it comes to sharing their special news.
One such star, who deliberated over whether to make that all-important announcement, was much-loved TV host, Cat Deeley.
Cat, who revealed she was expecting earlier this month, explained that the only reason she chose to share the news was on account of her current television gig.
The Birmingham-born star, who hosts So You Think You Can Dance, admits live television makes it a little harder to conceal a burgeoning bump.
Speaking to People magazine, the 38-year-old presenter said: "To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't have even announced it to anybody if I hadn't been doing a live show."
Bucking the celebrity trend which sees many stars reveal all at the earliest opportunity, Cat continued: "I probably would have tried to hide it for a bit longer, but it got to the point where I was like, 'Ah, I'm live every week.' And then people grab me and I'm like, 'Oh no."
According to Cat, who wed comedian Patrick Kielty in 2012, her on-stage props would only hide her changing figure for so long, joking: "There is only so much microphone and card work you can do in the middle!"
The star, who looked stunning during a recent red carpet event with Patrick, insists impending motherhood will have not a marked effect on her style choices, laughing: "The first week after I announced it, I was like, 'I am wearing my highest Christian Louboutins this week. I am not going to get mumsy!"
We can't ever imagine the gorgeous Cat Deeley looking mumsy!
