We all know that breast feeding can create a long-standing bond with your newborn, and can be extremely nutritious for your new baby.
Science aside, there a number of really great reasons to breast feed your bundle of joy.
Mum-of-two, Shani Archer, has spoken out about the real reasons behind her choice to breast feed.
"I''m lazy, it's cheap, and there are no dirty dishes afterwards" she told Daily Mail Australia.
Shani, 25, explained that she felt a lot of pressure from other mums to breast feed her daughters, but ultimately her choice was based on convenience.
"We're not all doing it because of the bond. Sometimes, with all the other tasks of being a mum, it is just the easiest option."
Shani, from the Sunshine Coast, said that she believes mums should feed their babies whatever way they wish, and should not be pressured out of bottle feeding.
