The Duchess of Sussex jetted off to New York City on Friday to celebrate the upcoming arrival of her first child.
The former actress is set to give birth to her and Prince Harry’s first child in the coming months and decided to fly out to the Big Apple for quite the lavish baby shower with her nearest and dearest.
Meghan’s closest friends will host the celebration before she heads back to London to start her life as a mum.
Ahead of the baby shower, which is set to take place today, Meghan and her close friend Jessica Mulroney enjoyed a classy and low-key afternoon at one of Meghan’s favourite places.
It is understood that the pair caught up at Laduree in SoHo where they enjoyed macarons and tea.
A source told HELLO!that the visit took place on a Saturday but it was a completely private affair. The location is said to be one of Meghan’s favourite spots in New York City.
She previously described it as a “little slice of Paris in the middle of New York City.”
It is understood that Meghan flew to America on February 15 and she will stay until February 20.
20 of her closest friends will host her baby shower on Tuesday, February 19 at a private location.
A source told BAZAAR.com that her friends will celebrate with Meghan at an undisclosed Upper East Side hotel.
They shared: “The trip is a lovely chance to catch up with friends and spend time in a city she loves. This will be the last time a lot of them will see Meg until after the baby is born so it’s nice to share precious moments."
