Pregnant Natalie Imbruglia is apparently hoping that becoming a single mum will help her find the perfect man.
The 44-year-old singer announced that she was expecting her first child via IVF and a sperm donor last month, and is over the moon to be becoming a mum.
Reports say that the Torn hitmaker has spoken about the pregnancy to her friends, explaining that she hopes to find love through her new baby.
Speaking to The Sun, the insider said: “Men love Natalie and she has never been short of admirers - they go crazy for her and even now she can have her pick of dudes.
“But I think she has often chosen guys who are in it for the thrill and passion and not for the long run," the source continued.
“She got so tired of the disappointment and just really needed a break from all that. She is a super confident and fulfilled person who can give a child everything."
Her friend also mentioned that Natalie is searching for the right dad to her new baby;
“But I think one great thing about being a mum for Natalie is that she has a much better chance of meeting Mr. Right because she is thinking about finding a great dad - not just a guy to hang out with.
“Natalie is a role model in so many ways because she really has evolved. She has definitely raised her standards for what a good relationship is," they added.
“She knows that respect and friendship comes first and she is now totally willing to wait for that instead of diving in head first because of sexual attraction. But she is not bitter or disappointed."
"Natalie believes for sure that she will find a long term partner - but for now the baby is her focus," the source concluded.
The happy mum-to-be wrote to her 300,000 Instagram followers: “I’m expecting my first child this autumn.
“For those of you that know me, this has been something I have wanted for a very long time and I’m blessed that this is possible with the help of IVF and a sperm donor-I won’t be saying anything more on that publicly.”
