Coronation Street star Samia Ghadie, who is expecting a child with her former Dancing On Ice partner Sylvain Longchambon, has spoken candidly this week about the complex emotions a mum goes through while pregnant.
Writing for OK! magazine, the 33-year-old said: “It still amazes me that I’ve got a little baby growing and kicking inside me – it’s a lovely feeling but scary at the same time.”
Samia is already mum to Freya, her daughter from her first marriage to Matthew Smith, but she said that her previous experience has not changed her worrying habits.
“Even though it’s my second time around, I’m still such a worrier and am being so careful of everything I eat and do, so as to keep baby safe,” she added.
Samia announced the wonderful news of her pregnancy back in March, going on to confirm last month that it will be a boy for her and Sylvain. The couple, who met while competing as a team on ITV’s Dancing On Ice, revealed that they were engaged in their first pregnancy photo shoot, for OK! magazine.
