Yesterday it was announced that Nicola Wheeler, who plays Nicola King , is expecting her first baby and fellow co-star Emma Atkins has now opened up about her own pregnancy!
After much speculation, it was revealed that Emma, who plays Charity Tate, was indeed pregnant and had gone on maternity leave from the soap at the beginning of the year.
Commenting on having kept schtum about her big news, the lovely Emma said: "I can't believe we managed to keep it a secret for so long. I am delighted!"
Emma, who made her debut on the soap back in 2000, is clearly overjoyed at the prospect of becoming a mum, saying: "It couldn't come at a nicer time."
The actress, who is facing a big birthday milestone this March, has made reference to her due date, revealing: "If it all goes to plan then I'll have my baby just before my 40th birthday- it'll be such a nice birthday present!"
