Prince William gushes about Prince Charles relationship with his grandkids

Prince Charles is set to celebrate his 70th birthday on November 14 and the BBC has produced a documentary Prince, Son and Heir: Charles at 70 to in honour of his special birthday.

Members of the royal family, including the future king’s two sons- Prince William and Prince Harry- took part in the documentary to celebrate Charles’ life.

The bond Charles shares with his two sons is extremely strong. The loss of his former wife and the boys’ mum Princess Diana brought the trio closer together and that connection has only grown over time.

Both boys have made their dad exceptionally proud in recent years with both of them starting new chapters of their lives.

William and Harry have both settled down and married as of late, William and Kate Middleton tied the knot in 2011, with his younger brother marrying former Suits actress Meghan Markle in the May of 2018.

William has welcomed three children with the Duchess of Cambridge and Harry and Meghan will welcome their first child together in the coming months.

Becoming a grandfather was quite the momentous time for Charles, who was overjoyed by the arrival of his first grandson, Prince George in 2013.

It’s obvious the grandfather is exceptionally fond of the mini royals. William opened up about the relationship he has with Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis in the documentary.

"When he’s there, he’s brilliant. We need him there as much as possible,” the Duke of Cambridge confessed.

Just like most royals, Charles has quite the hectic schedule which is always jam-packed with royal duties.

He is currently on a royal tour in Ghana with his wife Camilla Parker Bowles so we’re sure his grandchildren are missing him terribly.

It’s obvious that William hopes his dad will be as close to his children as they grow up.
