Quorn Foods is recalling their Quorn Chilled Tikka Masala with Basmati Rice ready-meal 400g due to fears of rubber contamination. They are recalling over 15,000 packs in the UK and Ireland.
The recall pertains to packs with the bar code 5019503024203 and use-by dates of March 1, 2, and 3, 2018.
They explained that the recall was prompted when 'a small number of consumers' reported finding a small piece of rubber in their Masala sauce.

All of those who found rubber had packs with use-by dates of March 1, 2018.
"We would like to assure our customers that there are no other issues with the product, and no other Quorn products are affected," their statement read.
As well, The Guardian reports that Quorn further clarified, "The safety and well-being of our customers is our No 1 priority, which is why we instigated this recall as soon as we became aware of the issue.

"We would stress that this recall relates to a manufacturing issue which has now been rectified.”
Anyone who has this ready-meal with a use-by date of March 1 to 3 2018 should not eat the product.
Quorn says customers with these packs should return them to their retailer for a full discount.
