After Fearne Cotton finally told the world about her long suspected pregnancy with her second child, she also told fans she would be leaving the Radio 1 to start “a new chapter”.
When a reporter asked Radio 1 controller Ben Cooper for his reaction to her news, his reply was: “I can’t stop people having sex.”
While Fearne has stayed silent, her husband Jesse Wood took to Instagram to publicise his annoyance with the Radio 1 boss.
Posting a screen grab of the comment, he said: “Thank you for all the kind words today about our special news, except this one.”
Fans were quick to criticise Ben Cooper’s response, with one saying: “The radio one boss is an idiot! What a stupid thing to say” Congrats jesse fearne and Rex x.”
While it does seem like Cooper’s comments were taken out of context, it wasn’t the nicest thing to say about such great news. A simple ‘Congratulations’ can go a long way…
