Just days after Sarah Hittmeier and Crystal Wingate made headlines around the world for welcoming their sons into the world on the exact same day, Tiffany Edwards and April Mincey have followed suit.

The new mothers, who are sisters, have attracted a lot of attention after giving birth to their babies on the same day, just an hour apart.

Although Tiffany and April’s due dates were weeks apart, things took a dramatic turn when Tiffany’s waters broke two weeks ahead of schedule, on Wednesday.

Sister April was already at Meadows Regional Medical Centre, Georgia, when she received a text from Tiffany saying that she would be joining her shortly.

While neither sister expected to welcome their children on the same day, that was exactly what happened – and an hour apart, no less!

April gave birth to daughter Megan Brianna in the early hours of Thursday morning, while Tiffany went on to welcome little Ava shortly afterwards.

Speaking to local news channel WTOC, Dr Anju Sinha said: “I made the connection and I knew they were spontaneous labour, and this really doesn’t happen that often.”

This is a particularly special event for the sisters as, though they were always close growing up, they now live miles away from one another.

Well, what a beautiful way to bring these sisters even closer.
