When a mother uploaded a photo of her newborn breastfeeding, she had no idea it was going to spark such a monstrous debate.
But it did; a huge debate.
The photograph posted to Breastfeeding Mama Talk shows the mum woman breastfeeding two newborns at the same time.
And no, they’re not twins.
The snap depicts Steph Coen, friend of the photographer, breastfeeding her two-week-old baby on her left boob while nursing the photographer’s three-week-old baby on her right boob.
In the post, the photographer explains: “My baby and I have struggled with a malformation of tissue and an inability for me to produce enough to feed her on my own.”
So with the help of her amazing friend Steph, who wet nurses, her bundle of joy can continue to feed on human milk.
But as you can guess, the photo has sparked a huge response with many users horrified at the thought of their baby receiving someone else’s milk.
One woman posted: “I trust no-one to feed my baby out their body except me! Nope... that's nasty, unsanitary, and WRONG!”
