Big Little Lies star Reese Witherspoon shared the details on her meeting with the Duchess of Cambridge and her reaction is simply priceless.
Reese admitted she is a huge fan of the royal family so she was understandably stunned when she found out she was going to meet Kate.
“The scream that issued from the lips upon receiving [the invitation] — you would have thought I was going to die," she shares in her book Whiskey In A Teacup.
The Wild actress said her husband Jim Toth had never seen her so excited. She even revealed she woke up at the crack of dawn to prepare for the day
“I wake up early, mind you, but on that day I was up at 4am doing my hair. That’s early, even for me,” the mum said.
The Legally Blonde star explained why she loves the royals so much: “Southern women like how the royals value family and how they're always doing good for others.”
“It takes a very special person to decide to commit to that kind of life, to choose to be under public scrutiny every moment,” she continued.
When Reese finally met Kate she instantly fell under her spell. The Duchess certainly won the actress over with her charm and good nature: “She was just lovely and warm, elegant and composed.”
“She’s just as magnificent as she seems to be. She’s a very compassionate, socially conscious, deeply caring person,” Reese gushed.
