Relieved: Hallmarks Jen Lilley announces pregnancy after fostering two sons

Hallmark actor Jen Lilley is basking in the glow of pregnancy.

The 34-year-old, who is expecting a baby girl with her husband Jason Wayne, has even more reason to be excited.

The actor is already mum to two amazing boys that she has fostered - a two-year-old, who they took in when he was just 4 months old, and his biological half-brother, who is 11 months old.

Jen told PEOPLE, ''I’m so relieved. I absolutely love being a mom of boys, but there’s a couple of reasons we wanted a girl - one [being], we don’t have one.”

She continued, ''More importantly, the reason we wanted the girl is now my sons won’t have a bio-son to compare themselves to and I think that’s really, really important.”

Jen and her husband are in the middle of the adoption process with their eldest son and Jen is open about the fact that foster care was something of a no-brainer.

She said, ''Every child deserves love, safety and a strong family. Whether that means staying in my home temporarily and returning to a biological family who’s gotten back on their feet, or adoption.''

But now Jen, who is 21 weeks pregnant,  is looking forward to adding to her brood.

She said, ''I always knew I wanted to be pregnant and have a child once because I think it is so amazing what a woman’s body can do. It’s scary and beautiful, and also the most natural thing on Earth.”

This pregnancy is even more special, because Jen suffered a miscarriage in 2018, at 12 weeks along.

The couple are set to welcome their daughter via natural birth sometime in August and we couldn't be happier for them.
