We have been given the first glimpse of Kate and William's third child and Baby Cambridge is just gorgeous. The newest addition to the Royal Family made his arrival this morning at 11:01 am.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge thanked the hospital staff, "Their Royal Highnesses would like to thank all staff at the hospital for the care and treatment they have received. They would also like to thank everyone for their warm wishes."

The healthy baby boy weighed in at 8lbs 7oz and is the biggest baby of the Cambridge bunch.

Earlier this evening, Prince William brought Prince George and Princess Charlotte to the hospital to meet their baby brother.

The young royals went home to Kensington Palace after a short visit to St. Mary's Hospital. Kate and William also headed home to Kensington Palace after introducing their darling boy to the world.

Congratulations have been pouring in on Twitter. Prime Minister, Theresa May extended her warm congratulations and happiness for the future.

Boris Johnson also tweeted well wishes to the couple on the birth of their second son.

The BT Tower got involved in the action and was lit up with the words; ‘It’s a boy!’

This is the first time in history that a prince will be behind a princess in the line of succession. Kate and William's baby boy is fifth-in-line to the throne, ahead of his uncle, Prince Harry.

The birth of the baby marks the Queen becoming a great-grandmother for the sixth time.
