SEA LIFE London Aquarium is a seriously fun day out. There are over 500 species, 14 themed zones and more than 2 million litres of water at this amazing aquarium.
A new feature that is proving to be a major attraction is the Shark Reed Encounter. This is a celebration of one of nature’s most fascinating creatures. Guests start their journey with a walk across the new extended Shark walk. This glass walkway allows visitors to walk above an amazing shoal of sixteen sharks, including two stunning 2.8m brown sharks and group of 10 sleek black tip reed sharks. Then see the creatures in their magnificent pacific display, spanning three flours. Finally learn some shark myth-busting facts in the interactive Shark Academy with lots of touchy feely learning.
There are 1000’s of other creatures you can see and there is plenty of activities including interactive deeding, diving displays, and touch pools. This is an amazing opportunity to learn about the world under the sea.
If you want to do something a little extra special, you can team up with the expert aquarist guides to go deep behind the scenes and discover how the aquarium cares for over 600 marine and fresh-water species. This special tour will offer you privileged access to the working areas usually closed to the public where you will learn about breeding, research and conservation programmes and see how the fish food is prepared.
