Danielle Lloyd has been heavily criticised for bringing her six-year-old son on live TV while she discussed the possibility that he could have Asperger’s Syndrome.

Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield on This Morning, Danielle revealed that they’d first noticed something different about Harry at three years old.

“There’s definitely something different about Harry. He’s very special. Having four sons, I can tell there’s something different about Harry,” she explained.

“He has his own little ways. He’s very emotional and socially awkward. It’s really hard to deal with at times, and very frustrating.

“When I take him out in public he’s really loud, and people are looking at him as if to say, ‘Why’s he not behaving?' He’s shouting, he’s screaming,” the mum-of-four said.

She previously revealed to OK! that some of Harry’s behaviours caused her concern.

“He does odd things, like take all of his possessions to bed - you'll literally find him tucked up surrounded by Guess Who? and Monopoly sets and all of his DVDs,” she explained.

“He's also very clumsy and a bit socially awkward, which are all signs of Asperger's. He's doing well at school, though, which is a silver lining,” she added.

Danielle explained that she was having difficulties getting a diagnosis for Harry. “We’ve gone through the NHS. I’ve had him tested for autism a few years ago. Harry didn’t have severe autism. He can speak properly, and function,” she explained.

“For me, it’s finding out exactly what it is. I’m looking into Asperger’s, as lots of his symptoms are like that.

"We’ve learnt to deal with it in our own way. We are hopefully going to get a diagnosis. The school are very good.”

Despite Danielle’s insistence that she’s just trying to help her son, many viewers were angry with her for taking Harry on TV and discussing the issue in front of him.

“Anything to get on TV, Danielle Lloyd. Shame on you for using your son,” one angry viewer tweeted.

“If you keep telling your son they’re odd and different, they will start acting it. Shocked!” another Twitter user wrote, tagging Danielle in their tweet.

However, Danielle was quick to issue a response to the criticism. “No, he knows he is different, and cries because he doesn't understand why! So as a mother, I will fight for him to get help,” she wrote.
