We all know our kids get embarrassed by us from time to time and it seems that it’s the same even for popstars.

Singer Pink revealed her six-year-old daughter Willow is embarrassed by her as she posted a tribute to celebrate the little girl’s birthday online.

The singer joked in her Instagram post: “Headed to my kid’s kindergarten class to bring rice crispy treats for her sixth birthday. It's weird that she's embarrassed by me.

“Not like I wear a lot of bizarre colourful fun makeup or anything like I'm pretending to be a popstar. Kids these days!”

Pink and her husband Corey Hart were keen to mark Willow’s special day in style.

The singer posted a photo of Willow’s incredible birthday cake which looked absolutely mouth-watering.

The strawberry and confetti cake was topped with an adorable fairy and Pink explained it was “a magical faerie on top for a magical girl.”

Corey posted his own tribute to Willow online with an adorable photo collage of the little girl.

“Happy birthday to the baddest little girl on the planet. She is both my wife's and my mini me. Her big party is tomorrow, but on Fridays, we do a BMX session at our house," the 41-year-old businessman wrote alongside a photo collage of little Willow on her BMX bike and holding a plate of birthday cake.

He continued to explain how they celebrated Willow’s special day with family traditions.

“But this Friday happened to be her B-day. Our friends bring their kids, and we ride, BBQ, and try to replicate our childhoods. It is truly one of my favourite things. I love the intensity (see photo) and the craziness (see photo) of this amazing person. Thanks so much Willow for being the best child a papa could ever ask for. I love you around the sun a million times and back.”

Pink is known for her common-sense attitude and after giving birth to second child Jameson, she urged other new mums to “stay off the scales.”

The singer dismissed pressure to lose weight explaining: “Would you believe I'm 160 pounds and 5'3"? By 'regular standards' that makes me obese. I know I'm not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby 2 but dammit I don't feel obese. The only thing I'm feeling is myself. Stay off that scale ladies!”

We love her no-nonsense attitude, even if Willow is embarrassed now we’re sure she will be very proud of her mum when she grows up.
