Kym Marsh has urged authorities to ‘do something’, after a Twitter troll set up a fake account using the name and image of her daughter.
The outraged Coronation Street actress took to her social media channels to vent, after discovering the account. Still up and running, but set to private, the account bears the name ‘Polly Connor’ along with an image of the six-year-old.
Kym – who is also mum to older children David and Emilie – was understandably horrified by the dupe.
“The fake account of my six-year-old, @pollyconnor4, has BLOCKED me!!! You are using photos of my little girl, you strange person!” she tweeted, clearly upset.
“Something needs to be done about people making fake accounts on social media!! Why would ANYONE make a fake account of a six-year-old?? Weird.”
Kym’s followers were just as shocked as she was, with many assuring her that they had reported the account.
“I have reported her. It’s disgusting to steal pictures of a child,” one tweeted.
“That’s absolutely bloody ridiculous, Kym! I’ve blocked and reported the sad fake account, so hopefully Twitter will take action.”
The account is still alive and kicking, so let’s hope Twitter admins catch up with their notifications soon!
This isn’t the first time that Kym and her family have had to deal with the scourge of Twitter trolling.

The star, who lost son Archie shortly after his birth in 2009, previously revealed that she was targeted by cruel trolls over his death.
“I’ve had all sorts on Twitter – death threats, people calling me a home-wrecker. But the worst thing someone said was, ‘Remember when your baby died and I laughed?’
“Messages like that are just sick, and you have to think they are coming from someone who is not well.”
Indeed, the trolling got so bad at one stage that Kym had to quit Twitter after becoming ‘obsessed’ with the abusive comments.
She also revealed that, when a newcomer starts at Corrie, she always advises them to avoid reading their public and private messages.
Poor Kym; we can’t imagine how upsetting it is for her to find someone targeting her little girl.
