Bride Alexandra Pearson has become a viral sensation this week, after a video of a very special surprise by her sick father was uploaded online.
Alexandra was left heartbroken when she was informed that her sick dad would be too unwell to travel the 1900 miles to her wedding in California. What the bride-to-be didn’t know, however, was that dad Andre’s care team decided to accompany him on the trip so that he could be there for his daughter’s big day.
Andre’s arrival to Alexandra’s house, on the eve of her wedding day, was filmed, and the camera captured the pair’s emotional and beautiful reunion. Needless to say, the moment proved too much for Alexandra, who burst into tears as she embraced her delighted father. Andre went on to walk Alexandra down the aisle as she exchanged vows with her new husband the following day.
Earlier this year, Andre was informed that he may only have a year to live, after being told he was too ill for a heart transplant. However, after recently undergoing heart valve surgery and receiving an implant, Andre has returned home and is currently receiving rehabilitation treatment.
