This much-loved performer has made no secret of the struggles she faced and overcame while pregnant with her first child, so it’s no surprise Frankie Bridge is willing to open up about her current difficulties.
Now pregnant with her second child, the Saturdays singer, who has been instrumental in lifting the stigma attached to mental health issues, has revealed that it hasn’t been plain sailing in recent weeks.
Explaining the problems she’s faced in her latest column for OK! magazine, the 26-year-old star revealed she’s been suffering from painful stomach cramps, but insists on focussing on the positive despite the discomfort.
Elaborating on the issue, Frankie wrote: “The stomach cramps have made me feel quite uncomfortable but they're completely normal during pregnancy – it's another reassuring sign that my baby is getting bigger!”
In addition to cramps, it seems the star has been struggling to catch her much-need eight hours a night which means life as a working mum hasn’t been easy.
Opening up about the insomnia she’s been suffering from, the Higher singer explained: “I kept waking up at 2am and I just couldn't get back to sleep, which meant I was really tired looking after Parker and going to work.”
Despite morning sickness, insomnia and stomach cramps, the pregnant mum-to-be can’t wait to give 18-month-old son, Parker, a little brother or sister.
With her due date rapidly approaching, we’re wishing Frankie all the best with the rest of her journey.
