Sarah Jessica Parker, like most mums, is sending her beloved children back to school with bittersweet feelings of joy, pride, and a tinge of sadness.
Her three kids have been growing up fast, and she cannot believe how quickly they have aged.
The mum dotingly shared photos of her 15-year-old son’s return to high school, starting this year as a young sophmore.
Her little boy, James, is growing into a young man, eager for knowledge and adventure.
Sarah wrote: “Our boy. Our sophmore. All our hopes that his academic year ahead is adventurous, challenging, enlightening and fun. So carpe diem my latin student! X, SJ (mama)”.
The Sex and the City star has three children with actor Matthew Broderick, known for his starring role in Ferris Bueller's Day Off. The two have been married for 21 years.
Their adorable twin girls, Tabitha and Marion, are also going off to school. At nine-years-old, the girls were excited to return to class and start the fourth grade together.
The mum lovingly sent her children on their way with hugs and kisses.
"First day of 4th grade. No backpack, no books, no school supplies. Hopefully just some confidence and the excitement of the unknown. The Fall, full of promise and possibilities.
“And the last of the fold. Our brunette. The ‘baby’ embarking on her first day of 4th grade,” the mum reflected.
“Small but mighty, her knapsack prepared days ago, she [takes] long strides toward a whole new year awaiting you, Tabitha. X, mama”.
The parents are going to miss their little ones as they go off to school but feel so blessed that their children have the opportunity to start the next chapter of their lives side by side.
The mum was glad to have her husband beside her during the precious send off and credited the photos to him.
Sarah loves being a mother and even described giving birth as “absolute euphoria”. She always tries to involve her kids in family decisions and puts their education first and foremost in life.
What a sweet memory these photos commemorate, and we wish her children the best of luck in their school endeavours this year.
