A baby's standard routine is intense in anyone's language, but imagine you had to factor in a daily blow dry and styling session on top of everything else!
Step forward Adam Rattab and Annabel Murchie whose eight-month-old daughter, Maya, sports such a head of thick hair, the couple have had to incorporate a daily pamper session in order to keep it under control.
Commenting on his daughter's unique look, Adam from Bedforshire said: "Her hair is constantly growing, it just hasn't stopped. Everyone – even Annabel – said her hair will start falling out around the back as she gets older, but it hasn't."
Maya, whose hair has reached bob-length in just eight months, has a daily routine which sees her parents blowdry and style her hair so she can get down to standard baby gal business.
"She wears it in a top knot a lot, but it can get quite messy," Adam explained. "She's teething and always dribbling, so her hair gets wet and gets in her way, which is why we like to keep it out of her face or put a clip in it."
"It just gets messy, so we have to wash it in the bath pretty much every day. It takes a while, and we have to use a hair dryer because a towel just doesn't work properly. If we left it to dry naturally she would be there forever, just cold and wet."
Thankfully, Maya adores her daily style session, and is already getting to grips with the various tools needed to tame her barnet.
"She loves staring at the hair dryer and tries to put her face in front of it," Adam said. "She sits there patiently while her hair is brushed. We like to put it up in a knot but she sometimes has plaits around the sides which lead into a ponytail."
Becoming a star in her own right, Maya is often confused for an older child by passersby on the street who stop her proud parents to chat about her hair.
"People in the street come up to her and call her little dolly, they can't believe how much hair she's got," Adam said.
"They always ask how old she is and when I say she's only eight months, they're so shocked because they think she's more like three! Her hair is just everywhere."
