But one person who is distinctly unimpressed by claims that Louis Tomlinson is involved in a fake baby scandal is his One Direction band mate, Liam Payne.
The Drag Me Down singer, who was the first person to confirm Louis' baby news, has angrily addressed the rumours that Briana Jungwirth is not actually expecting his friend's child.
In an interview with Attitude magazine, Liam said candidly: "He's [Louis] very happy about becoming a dad. But the funny thing is, there are some people out there who think that Louis getting Briana pregnant is fake; that's it's not real, it's a cover-up."
"That's the sort of s*** that gets to me. But you have to hold your tongue, and that's fine. I mean, it's not really any of my business anyway," he added.
By cover-up, Liam is referring to fan theories that Louis and fellow band mate Harry Styles are actually in a romantic relationship; a claim that they have been forced to deny time and time again.
Reports that Louis and Briana were expecting first surfaced in July, and he finally addressed the news during a talk show interview weeks later, admitting that he was "excited" at the prospect of becoming a dad.
