Model Lara Bingle was only too happy to chat about her wedding to Avatar actor Sam Worthington this week, as she recorded an appearance on the Kyle and Jackie O Show.
Confirming that she and Sam exchanged vows just after Christmas last year, the 28-year-old said: “Sam and I got married nearly a year ago, on the 28th of December. It was very intimate. We just popped into Melbourne with Sam’s family, and we just had 10 people in a house we rented. We wrote our own vows.”
By the sounds of it, Lara and Sam’s nuptials were a far cry from the traditional star-studded parties we are so used to seeing in the glossy magazines. Indeed, such was the case that she ended up cooking lunch for the entire family at her own ‘reception’!
Of course, the couple went on to welcome their first child, son Rocket Zot, together the following March, and Lara was candid as she addressed the topic of motherhood.
Admitting that her new role is “the best thing in the world”, the star added: “You don’t get much freedom! I can’t just go out, especially when he is feeding. It’s very hard.”
