She may have welcomed her first child, a daughter, last year, but don’t be expecting any expert opinions from actress Scarlett Johansson.
The 30-year-old opened up on life as a new mum to Rose Dorothy, admitting that she considers herself a total “newbie” when it comes to parenting.
The star, who is currently promoting her new movie Avengers: Age of Ultron, added that it irks her to see other celebrities appearing to show off their parental skills.
“I always really hate it when actors or people in the spotlight make giant grandiose statements about parenthood because it’s so, so personal. I don’t profess to know anything more about parenting that anybody else,” she added.
Scarlett, who wed husband Romain Dauriac last year, also admitted that she is already weighing up what motherhood to her daughter will mean for her career in the future.
“Before, I just made the choices that were affecting me, but now I’m responsible for somebody else. Eventually, I will have to work less, and it might even make me more discerning,” she said.
Scarlett and Romain had remained incredibly tight-lipped over their pregnancy, with a representative confirming Rose Dorothy’s birth in September of last year.
