Star Trek star Anton Yelchin has passed away, aged 27

Tragic news this weekend as actor, Anton Yelchin has passed away at the age of just 27.

The Star Trek star died early Sunday morning in what was called a “fatal traffic collision”.

A rep for the actor has been released and it read:

“Actor Anton Yelchin was killed in a fatal traffic collision early this morning. His family requests you respect their privacy at this time.”

Friends became concerned when the Alpha Dog actor did not turn up a rehearsal.

It was reported by TMZ that Anton was found pinned by his own car at his San Fernando Valley home.

Many of his co-stars have now come out and shared their condolences.

our dear friend. our comrade. our anton. one of the most open and intellectually curious people i have ever had the pleasure to know. so enormously talented and generous of heart. wise beyond his years. and gone before his time. all love and strength to his family at this impossible time of grief.
