According to reports, both Louis and the baby's mum, Briana Jungwirth, will be sharing each and every special milestone with their respective parents as they edge ever nearer the due date.
According to the Mail Online, both Louis' parents and the Jungwirths were present for Briana's most recent hospital scan in LA.
Overjoyed by the prospect of extending their family, a source revealed the group "all saw the ultrasound together and heard the baby's heart beat for the first time."
Louis, who is excited about being 'a hands-on dad', is said to be delighted by the relationship which exists between his family and Briana's.
Having spent the 4th of July celebrating together in the States, a source revealed both families are 'getting on great'.
In addition to bringing families together, it appears this impending arrival may also be helping to mend broken ties between Louis and former bandmate, Zayn Malik.
According to reports emerging from the US, Zayn penned an incredibly touching messages to Louis upon hearing the exciting news.
Commenting on the correspondence, an insider revealed: "Zayn sent Louis a really open, honest, and emotional letter congratulating him. Zayn told him what a great father he thought Louis would be and how proud he was of his friend. It actually brought tears to Louis eyes."
While not in a relationship, it is understood Louis and Briana share a particularly close bond and are thrilled to be welcoming a baby into their lives together.
Commenting on the dynamic, an insider explained: "Louis really cares about Briana and thinks she will be a great mum. Their friendship has got even stronger though this."
