Stay-at-home mum performs the anthem for mothers everywhere

No one quite understands the role of being a mum quite like other mothers, and this woman has captured some of the more frustrating moments of the job perfectly.

 

Shannon Christensen Abbott will testify that being a mum is the best thing in the world, but things like sleepless nights and dealing with a ‘threenager’ can prove tricky – so she decided to put a humorous spin on them by singing about them!

 

Now, everyone will be familiar with Jeff Buckley’s anthem Hallelujah, but when Shannon puts her stamp on it, it sounds like nothing you have ever heard before.

 

Uploading her cute version of the song to Facebook, Shannon wrote: “One of the songs I sang for the talent show. I have always loved the song Hallelujah but the lyrics to the original version are, well, weird! So I changed them to fit my stay-at-home mommy life!”

 

We think you’ll agree that her version is not only entertaining but absolutely on-point – and how sweet is her little boy?!
