We recently reported on the story of Lily Grace, the deceased baby found on a Sydney beach, who was later adopted and laid to rest by a couple who were touched by her sad story.

This week, we have seen a similar act of kindness, with a man in Mexico reportedly hoping to adopt the newborn baby he found abandoned near a canal while on his way to work.

Raul Marin Ceja found the tiny newborn on the ground, wrapped in a bundle of cloth. The baby girl still had part of her umbilical cord attached, and Ceja filmed footage of the tiny little one curled up amid leaves and dirt.

A representative of the Zapopan Police, Omar Carrillo, went on to later confirm the baby’s discovery last weekend, in the early hours of Saturday morning in Coto Residencial Puerto de Hierro.

Thankfully, the baby is expected to make a full recovery after her ordeal, although the mother’s condition and location are not yet known.

Now, caring Ceja has expressed his intention to adopt the little one if authorities are unable to locate the parents.

Whatever the outcome, we hope that this little girl gets the care and support that she so badly needs.
