There was widespread shock and support for singer Michael Bublé’s family last year, when they announced that eldest child Noah was battling liver cancer. But after a tough journey, wife Luisana Lopilato has shared a positive update.

Speaking at a press conference for her new movie, the 29-year-old model and actress became emotional as she discussed three-year-old Noah’s progress following four months of chemotherapy.

“Thank God my son is well. When things like those that happened to us occur, your take on life changes. It happened to us. Now I value life much more, the now and the today. I would like to thank people for their support, for the prayers they said, for the love,” she said.

Luisana, who met her husband on the set of his music video for Just Haven’t Met You Yet, admitted that it’s still a difficult topic for her to talk about but the experience has changed her outlook on life.

“Seeing Noah grow and being happy gave me strength to return and finish this film. My faith in the fact God had a miracle helped me. I became strong so my son would get better. I transmitted that to all my friends and family,” she added.

Luisana also added that the family is ‘very happy’ with Noah’s progress. The star, who is also mum to one-year-old son Elias, later took to Facebook to share a heartfelt statement thanking her colleagues and all those who have sent support.

“I have the need to multiply to infinity my thanks to so many expressions of love. Ever since I came to Argentina, I keep receiving demonstrations of love that I get to the depths of the heart. I feel blessed and embraced by the amazing energy that I receive through the birthday wishes and prayers of so many people,” she wrote.

She went on to thank all those well-wishers ‘who gave her strength when she needed it most’.

“The love of the people is one of the most wonderful gifts…that’s why, today more than ever, I want to say thank you. Thanks for joining me in the pain, thank you for celebrating my happiness, thank you for being a part of my life,” she added.

Luisana’s touching words come just two months after she and Michael revealed that Noah was recovering and progressing well after his treatment.

“We are very grateful to report that our son Noah has been evolving favourably during treatment, and doctors are very optimistic about the future of our little boy,” she wrote at the time.
