Her followers will know him as the cheeky monkey of the family’s hearts, and this week Reese Witherspoon’s son Tennessee turned the grand old age of five.
The actress took to her social media channels to mark the special occasion, paying the sweetest tribute to her youngest child.
Reese posted a photo of little Tennessee – her son with husband Jim Toth – holding a giant multi-coloured ‘5’ balloon.
“Happy birthday to my littlest guy, Tennessee,” gushed the 41-year-old.
“Every day you bring us so much joy with your sweet smile and beautiful laugh. I love you so much!”
Reese – who is also mum to 18-year-old Ava and 13-year-old Deacon, her children from her first marriage, to Ryan Phillippe – frequently shares hilarious insights into life with her youngest.
Tennessee is notorious for being a picky eater, and was the inspiration behind Reese’s creative Insta-shots of meals arranged into smiley-faces.
Revealing how, as a toddler, Tennessee would only eat white bread and ketchup; Reese previously admitted: “I have no idea how he’s alive!”
“I’ll present these really cute little things, and he’s like, ‘No! I don’t like it!’”
We love a visit to Reese’s Instagram feed, as we always know we’re sure to find plenty of creative inspiration and sweetness.
A fellow actress who has also earned our Insta-love is Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar. And, incidentally, Sarah won our hearts with a birthday post of her own, this week.
The mum-of-two took to the photo-blogging site to mark her eldest child, daughter Charlotte’s eighth birthday – and left us positively drooling with photos of the incredible party spread whipped up for the celebrations.
Sarah – who is also mum to five-year-old son Rocky – called on the services of the geniuses at Showboy Bake Shop, to create some truly exquisite and enchanting cakes.
The team created an AMAZING unicorn cake for the birthday girl, along with delicious-looking – and GLITTER-COVERED – cupcakes.
“OK seriously, I need to share this incredible (and insanely amazing) unicorn cake that Showboy Bake Shop made for my daughter,” wrote the 40-year-old.
The star’s fans were just as enamoured as us – and we reckon the team at Showboy will be inundated with orders over the next few weeks and months!
