It looks like massive congratulations are in order this morning following the news that popular actress and original Mean Girl, Lacey Chabert, is expecting her first child!
The actress, who featured in numerous teen movies and brought us many, many wonderful lines as Gretchen Weiners in the 2004 smash-hot movie Mean Girls, took to her social media channels last night and revealed all to her legions of fans and followers.
Uploading a shot of her pet dog, Kitty, wearing an adorable shirt which we need to get our hands on immediately, Lacey acknowledged that her big news didn't have the desired effect on all family members, writing: "Kitty doesn't seem as excited about this as we are..."
Commenting on the photo which shows Kitty sporting a short which reads "My mom is having a baby and all I get is this silly shirt" Lacey continued: "I'm so happy to share the good news that my husband and I are expecting a baby later this year!"
The actress, who married long-term boyfriend David Nehdar in 2013, could barely contain her delight, telling fans: "We are thrilled and so thankful for this blessing" before hashtagging the word 'pregnant'.
Lacey, who first rose to fame in longrunning television drama Party of Five, has been unsurprisingly inundated with messages of support and congratulations since the big reveal last night.
Advising the 33-year-old star to savour every moment of her journey, one Instgram user wrote: "From one mom to another - Cherish every moment of your pregnancy and beyond. From morning sickness, gas and constipation to 3am feedings, teething and 1st day of kindergarten to senior graduation and college tours."
"Enjoy that bundle of joy and keep a daily diary or set up an email for her and let her know your experience and her experiences from now until graduation. It would be a beautiful graduation gift." they suggested.
Lacey has yet to reveal her due date, but we will keep you posted! Sending congratulations to both her and David.
