Oh the hilarious reality of breastfeeding!
Breastfeeding doesn’t come easy for some mums; sometimes it’s all happy mamas and happy babas, other times it's sore boobs and cracked nipples.
But that's the reality of nursing and it’s important we talk about the more, eh, not particularly nice sides to, you know, help normalise it.
And that’s exactly why we love this breastfeeding picture so much!
Posted on Instagram by Zoe Hendrix, it shows the hilarious reality that a lot of nursing mums have to deal with on a daily basis: uneven boobs.
Sharing a picture of her in her bikini, the 27-year-old, who is Mum to nine-month-old Harper-Rose, captioned the snap: “MILK JUGS gone uneven. One of the many joys of breastfeeding. I wondered why I got a few stares at the pool that day awkward![sic]”.
Standing in a pink bikini top, it is clear that one of Zoe’s boobs is significantly bigger than the other one – a lot bigger.
And she must have received a few odd looks if her caption is to be believed!
However, the best thing about this photo (apart from it successfully normalising breastfeeding, of course) is that Zoe embraces her “uneven boobs” and doesn't try to hide from them.
She is getting us to talk about breastfeeding in a positive and happy light, and that, at the end of the day, is the most important thing.
