Young mother Wei was stunned when she discovered a baby girl abandoned in a storage box.
Approaching her place of work in the Chinese city of Xianyang, Wei heard a baby crying and quickly realised it was coming from the box.
Before long, the little girl was spotted by other passersby, some of whom left milk and money in the box beside the child.
But what Wei did was much more personal. Convinced the child was crying from hunger more than anything, Wei breastfed the little girl right there in the street.
According to social welfare workers, the baby has suspected cerebral palsy and may have other conditions too.
On news site 163.com. people have been hailing the young mum’s kind, caring gesture. One even described her as ‘the most beautiful mother.’
Aww. The tot has now been taken to the city’s social welfare institute and local police are investigating the case.
