Mum-of-three, Jordan Harrell, has revealed why we should 'keep on walking' as mamas, and we are in love with her sentiment.

Between mum guilt and looking backwards, we are constantly putting ourselves down, but Jordan has perfectly pieced together why we shouldn't feel this way.

Taking to her blog, she writes: "Keep walking, mama. When you and your husband finally make plans to go on a much-needed date, just the two of you, and you tip-toe out of grandma's house just in time to hear the wails coming from the other side of the door..."

"Keep walking, mama."

Jordan wants you to know that you shouldn't look back, because this is a lesson, you may feel it's tough but it needs be, and the kids need to learn.

"When you've spent two hours getting everyone dressed and fed for church, have assigned 14 time-outs and broken up 11 fights, [...], when bible class drop off is JUST as awful as you think and you look at your husband and he tries to comfort you by saying, 'they'll stop eventually'..."

"Keep walking, mama."

Wherever it may be, this mum wants you to keep walking; leaving your tot in care so you can go to the gym, leaving them sitting in their crib for a minute longer so you can breathe - it's all perfectly OK.

"Keep walking, mama."

"Do not look back. Do not feel guilty."

As mums we tend to feel guilty for taking time to ourselves, however we need to gently remind ourselves that we NEED this time.

It's essential for us to have these little moments to make us the great parents that we are: "There is no guilt in taking time for yourself. They are loved. They are cared for. They are fine."

"They are learning valuable lessons about trust and independence and you are learning valuable lessons about trust and independence."

Jordan makes it known to her followers, that this time is precious: "You need this. You deserve this. So keep walking, mama."

"And when you come back, you will be a better mama than the one who walked away."

Such a beautiful sentiment by the mum-of-three, something we all need to remember every now and then.
