Tragically, baby Aubrey Seable Ferrer will never meet her father, Hector. Because - and aged just 25 - he was shot and killed on April 28, a mere month before her birth.

However, in a touching gesture to honour his memory, Aubrey's heartbroken mother, Kathryn Williams, made sure that he was with them both during those early days of life.

With the help of talented photographer Kim Stone, the family was able to see Hector's hands around his daughter - using his beloved motorcycling gloves to gently cocoon her.

According to Australian-based parenting blog, KidsSpot, the image was taken last Saturday June 11. Telling, little Aubrey can be seen smiling lovingly as the moment was captured on camera.

"He wore protective gear when riding his bikes for he was insistent on safety and setting the proper example," a GoFundMe page set up by Kim reads. "He shared his love of bikes with his fiance and they planned family rides and outings after Aubrey would be old enough to do such."

It adds that Hector and his new family, who lived together in Florida, were denied a future "when someone he considered a friend" took his life.

Kim also has shared the touching image on her Facebook page - with the photograph notching up an incredible 325,000 reactions in just a few days.

Indeed, earlier this week, she expressed her amazement at the impact that the image had had. "To say I am overwhelmed is an understatement," she said in a second post.

"So many of you have prayed for Kathryn and Aubrey. Thank you for that. That's way more important than likes on a page. My intention was to give Kathryn a powerful image. Well... that's what happens when you pray first."

According to local media in Florida, Hector was shot and killed following an argument with Roosevelt Jeon Francois. The accused made a court appearance last month and is currently in prison awaiting trial.

Kim has now set up the GoFundMe page to accept donations "that will solely be used for the benefit and care of Aubrey now and for her future".

She explains: "Unfortunately, Aubrey's mom and dad were not married (they had secretly planned a marriage date of a week before her due date) therefore her mom is not eligible for beneficiary benefits or many other assistance programs as she is not technically a 'widow'.

"Donations will be used for new and increased expenses including child/day care (averages $1000/mth), health insurance premiums/copays, daily necessities (DIAPERS!), court costs, and college fund establishment.

"The family extends their heartfelt gratitude and blessings to each and everyone of you that extend your help to Kathryn and Aubrey through donation, prayer, condolences, or combination of. Your assistance, care and concern are PRICELESS. Thank you for everything!"
