By now you will know that there is nothing we love more than some celebrity baby news, so we are very excited with the announcement that tennis ace Serena Williams is expecting her first child.
The 35-year-old, who is currently on vacation with her fiancé Alexis Ohanian, followed in the footsteps of so many other celebs by sharing the wonderful news via social media.
Serena, who is a 23-time Grand Slam champ, made the big reveal by sharing a photo of herself posing in a bright yellow swimsuit. The caption simply reads: “20 weeks”.
This will be the first child for Serena and Reddit founder Alexis, who got engaged earlier this year after a 15-month romance.
The pair announced their engagement with a sweet post to Reddit (but, of course), featuring Serena showing off a whopper diamond on her ring-finger.
Recalling the Roman proposal, Serena revealed: “A carriage awaited…To escort me to my very own ‘charming’, back to where our stars first collided.
“And now it was full circle. At the same table we first met by chance. This time he made it not by chance, but by choice. Down on one knee, he said four words, and I said yes.”
The pair are currently holidaying in idyllic surroundings (although they have not disclosed the location), and looked blissfully happy in Serena’s latest Instagram update.
“My only regret is not pointing my toe. Sorry, Coach Garry,” the mum-to-be joked, in the caption of the snap of Alexis carrying her on a beach.
