Natalie Pinkham gave birth to her second child at the start of the summer, and just like with her first child, the 37-year-old endured a traumatic birth, that has made her reconsider having anymore children.

Following the birth of her daughter Willow Mirela, the F1 presenter went into shock after she contracted post-operative ileus - a painful obstruction of the ileum or other part of the intestine - and pre-eclampsia.

However, this was not her first time experiencing a traumatic birth; when her son, Wilfred, was born in January 2015, the then 36-year-old almost died after her bladder nearly burst due to diabetes insipidus – a rare condition that causes the sufferer to experience extreme thirst and pass large amounts of urine

Talking exclusively to Hello! recently, the mum-of-two said that while both her and husband Owain Walbyoff have always wanted to have three or four children, she thinks she’ll be pushing her luck if she tries for a third.

“We always thought we'd have three or four kids as we both have big families and loads of cousins,” she told the magazine.

"But the first time things went wrong with Wilf I thought, 'That's weird'. The second time, 'Okay, there's a pattern here'. The third, you're asking for trouble, aren't you?

Willow was born via a pioneering natural caesarean, and Natalie call the baby her “little miracle”, and feels blessed that she has a boy and a girl.

"I feel lucky to have two children, a boy and a girl. I would be pushing that luck if I went for a third."

Previously opening up about her son’s birth, Natalie admitted that she struggled to talk about it for a while as it was so traumatic, saying: “They did the epidural then asked if I could still feel anything. I said yes and they said there was no time anyway, so I felt the knife across my stomach and my organs wiggle about."

“It was traumatic. Had my waters broken naturally we both probably wouldn’t have made it. I keep thinking, ‘What if? what if?’. I was really panicked.”
