Every week there’s some story about twins giving birth on the same day, or family members sharing the same birthdays, but Matt and Stephen Thayer’s birth stories takes things to a whole new level.

The Thayers, who are living in the US, have made headlines today after the births of their youngest children - all because the tots were born in the exact same minute!

According to reports, the Thayers welcomed their little ones just moments apart on Sunday, March 20.

Matt and wife Brooke got things started, with the new mum giving birth to their daughter, Cassidy, at Duke University, Durham.

Moments later – and less than a hundred miles away, in Pinehurst – Stephen and his wife Fawn welcomed their son Benjamin into the world.

As you can imagine, there has been intense interest in the stories of these newborns, and the new fathers themselves are embracing the perks of the coincidence.

In an interview with Today, proud new father Stephen said that he and Matt are looking to saving on birthday party costs in the future!

“We were joking that we can have them all in the same venue from here on out – same day, same minute, same place,” he said.

Congratulations to both families – what a tale to tell the little ones when they’re older!

SHARE if you are as astounded by this coincidence as we are.
