Sex is an important part of your relationship, so when your libido suddenly goes missing it can be a little worrying. However, once you discover why you suddenly aren't in the mood anymore, you will be so much better for it.
Here are eight things that might be affecting your sex drive:
Lack of sleep
Being sleep deprived is not going to help you get in the mood for sex so make sure you are getting at least six or seven hours of uninterrupted sleep each night.
Too much saturated fat
Eating too much saturated fat can reduce blood flow to your sex organs which will obviously affect your ability to get in the mood.
Not eating enough
If you are not eating enough your body is not going to have enough energy to want to get up to much under the covers. Make sure you are eating a healthy and full diet.
Stress
Stress is a key factor in a low sex drive so do what you can to relieve yourself of it.
Too much alcohol
While many think a drink can get them in the mood for a little nookie, too much alcohol can hamper orgasms making you fall out of the mood fairly quickly.
Being too busy
If you are so busy during the day that you are so exhausted when you come home you are not going to want to have sex. Make sure you schedule some couple time into your day.
Being overweight
Being overweight can put a lot of strain on your body which in turn affects your sex drive and can also lower your self esteem.
Too much caffeine
Drinking too much can cause your adrenal glands to become over-stimulated which can decrease your desire for sex.
