In an ideal world, there would be no need for chore lists or reward charts – everyone would just do their bit, and the home would be a much calmer place.
Unfortunately, this isn’t always the case, and it seems one parent – whether it’s Mum or Dad – always ends up having to pick up the slack!
This is a truth universally known, but the ladies of The BreakWomb have decided to really drive the point home with their latest hilarious sketch.
We’re more than a tad puzzled when Megan, Molly and Laurel describe the equal sharing of parenting duties in their households as ‘easy’ – but it doesn’t take long at all for us to realise that they are actually being VERY sarcastic!
From Laurel talking about how grateful she is that her husband nudges her in the morning to tend to their son (hey, she doesn’t have to go to the effort of setting an alarm); to Molly explaining how wonderful it is that her other half puts all of the time into convincing their little girl to sign up for soccer, while she is the one who drives her to every game and practice, their arguments are wonderfully tongue-in-cheek.
When the very notion that they are being deceived is raised, the mums brush it off and focus on what’s important: doughnuts!
